Announcing PPA 2.2

Mairi Chisholm

What’s New in Opus 2.2

Opus is Osirium’s unique solution for secure automation of cross-system processes. The steps in a process can be in any programming language and bring these tasks together as processes and the code is isolated from privileged credentials using a proxy vault. The user is also isolated from the systems and devices involved in the process via a friendly web interface. You can find out more here.

We’ve had great feedback on Opus since its launch earlier this year and we’re delivering agile iterations in response to customer requests. We’re very pleased to announce that the latest release, 2.2, is now available.

This release includes a number of important updates, and you can find the full list in the documentation , I’ll highlight a few here.

Reporting

In addition to sending syslog events out to all major SIEM tools via CEF, a new dashboard in Opus highlights Opus. Over time, this dashboard will grow but it’s initially focusing on showing the usage of Opus and how it’s speeding up IT operations.

Native PowerShell

This release of Opus introduces the concept of “Agents.”

This enables platform-specific tasks to be executed, such as PowerShell scripts on Windows devices.

Increased Permissions Granularity

With this release, we’ve also made task permissions more granular with improved integration with Active Directory and PxM Platform to define which users and groups can execute which tasks.

As Opus is being used across IT and not just for traditional administrator logins to servers, we continue to improve integrations with business services such as ServiceNow and Office 365, both of which see improvements in this release.
